Which logo files should I have, and which do I send you?
Keep a vector master (SVG, EPS, AI or PDF) plus PNG copies with transparent backgrounds. Send us the vector file and any color, black and white versions you have.
Your logo shows up in many places: your website header, a browser tab, social profiles, business cards and signs. One file cannot do all of that well. A small set of files, starting from one vector master, covers every use.
The files worth having
| File | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Vector master (SVG, EPS, AI or PDF) | The original. It scales to any size with no blur. Printers and sign makers need it. |
| SVG | The best format for your website. Sharp on every screen and small in size. |
| PNG with a transparent background | For places that do not take vector files, such as some social and email tools. |
| A square version or icon | For profile pictures, app icons and your favicon (the small icon in a browser tab). |
| Color, all-black and all-white versions | So the logo stays readable on light and dark backgrounds. |
What to send us
- The vector master, if you have it. Your designer or printer may have it even if you do not.
- Any color versions and one-color versions.
- Your brand colors and font names, if you know them.
If all you have is a JPG or a screenshot, send it. We can work from it, and we will tell you if it is too small for some uses.
Where to find your logo files
- Ask the designer who made your logo for the "source" or "vector" files.
- Search your email for the original design delivery.
- Ask the printer who made your business cards or signs. They often keep the files they printed from.
We can do this for you. Open a request in your client portal and attach your logo files or a share link. Our team will prepare web versions and a favicon from them.
Common problems
- If your logo looks blurry on the website, we likely have a small PNG or JPG. Send the vector file.
- If your logo has a white box behind it on colored backgrounds, you need a PNG or SVG with a transparent background.
- If you cannot find any vector file, a designer can redraw the logo as vector. Open a request and we can help.
