What is RSS?

RSS is a feed format that lists a site's newest posts so readers and apps can follow updates without visiting the site.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standard way for a website to publish a list of its latest content, such as blog posts or podcast episodes. The list is called a feed. Feed reader apps check it and show new items, and other tools use it to share new posts automatically, for example to an email newsletter or social account. Podcasts rely on RSS feeds to deliver new episodes to listening apps.

Why it matters for your business: If you blog or podcast, an RSS feed lets fans and tools pick up your new content automatically.
