What is an MX record?
An MX record tells other mail servers where to deliver email sent to your domain. Wrong MX records mean lost email.
An MX record (mail exchanger) tells the world which mail servers accept email for your domain. When someone sends a message to you@yourbusiness.com, their mail server looks up your MX records and delivers to the server listed. Each MX record has a priority number. Lower numbers are tried first, and higher numbers act as backups. Your email provider tells you exactly which MX records to use.
Why it matters for your business: Changing MX records moves where your email arrives. A mistake can bounce or lose messages, so our team handles MX changes for you through a request.
