What is a knowledge panel?
A knowledge panel is the information box Google shows beside or above search results about a business, person or thing.
A knowledge panel is a box of key facts that Google shows for well-known entities. For a local business, the panel usually comes from your Google Business Profile and shows your hours, address, reviews and photos. For brands, people and organizations, Google builds panels from sources across the web, and the subject can sometimes claim the panel to suggest changes.
Why it matters for your business: The panel is often the first thing people see when they search your name, so its facts need to be right.
