What is a YouTube channel?
A YouTube channel is the account and page where a person or business publishes videos on YouTube.
A YouTube channel holds all the videos, Shorts, playlists and live streams you publish. It has its own name, handle, profile picture, banner and description. A business can create a channel managed through a Google account, and can add other people as managers so no one shares a password. Channels gain subscribers who see new uploads.
Why it matters for your business: Videos of your work, answers to common questions and customer stories can show up in Google and YouTube search and build trust before a customer calls.
