What is conversion rate?
Conversion rate is the share of visitors or sessions that complete a goal action, such as a form or purchase, shown as a percentage.
Conversion rate tells you how often visits turn into results. If 1,000 sessions produce 30 form submissions, the conversion rate is 3 percent. In GA4, it appears as session key event rate (based on sessions) and user key event rate (based on users). What counts as a good rate depends on your industry, price and the action being measured.
Why it matters for your business: Raising your conversion rate gets more customers from the same traffic. Small changes, like a clearer call button, can make a real difference.
