What is Google signals?
Google signals is a GA4 setting that uses data from signed-in Google users who allow ad personalization, to improve cross-device and demographic reporting.
When Google signals is turned on, GA4 can use information from visitors who are signed in to Google and have allowed ad personalization. This adds demographic and interest data, helps link visits across devices, and makes audiences usable for remarketing in Google Ads. Turning it on can cause GA4 to hide some small numbers in reports to protect privacy. It is controlled in the property's data collection settings.
Why it matters for your business: Signals adds richer data for advertising, but it can also cause data thresholds. Whether to turn it on depends on how you use Google Ads.
