What is keyword stuffing?
Keyword stuffing is cramming the same search words into a page over and over to try to rank, which makes the page read poorly and breaks Google's rules.
Keyword stuffing means repeating a keyword far more than natural writing would, or piling up lists of town names or phone numbers on a page. It sometimes includes hidden text that visitors cannot see. Search engines understand topics and synonyms, so this tactic does not help. Google lists it as a spam practice, and it can push a page down in results.
Why it matters for your business: Write for your customers in plain language. Using a keyword naturally a few times is enough, and the page will also read better for the people you want to call you.
