What are analogous colors?
Analogous colors sit next to each other on the color wheel, like blue, teal and green, and blend into a calm, unified look.
Analogous colors are three or so colors that are neighbors on the color wheel. Examples include yellow, orange and red, or blue, teal and green. Because they share undertones, they look natural together and feel harmonious, much like a sunset or a forest. The risk is low contrast, so designers usually add a neutral or one contrasting accent for text and buttons.
Why it matters for your business: An analogous palette gives a soothing, consistent feel, which suits spas, health and outdoor brands, but needs contrast for readability.
