What is a funnel exploration?
A funnel exploration in GA4 shows the steps people take toward an action, like booking, and how many drop off at each step.
A funnel exploration lays out a series of steps, such as viewing a service page, opening the booking form and submitting it. It shows how many users completed each step and where they left. This replaces the goal funnel and goal abandonment reports from Universal Analytics. You can break steps down by device or source to see where certain visitors struggle.
Why it matters for your business: Funnels point to the exact step where customers give up, so fixes go where they will have the biggest effect.
