What is a landing page in Google Analytics?
In analytics, a landing page is the first page a visitor sees when a session starts on your site.
The landing page is the page where a visit begins, also called the entrance page. It may be your homepage, a service page, a blog post or a page built for an ad campaign. GA4 has a Landing page report that shows sessions, engagement and key events for each starting page. Marketers also use the term for a page made for one specific campaign.
Why it matters for your business: Landing pages are your first impression. The ones that get lots of visits but few inquiries are often the best places to improve.
