What are views in Google Analytics?
In GA4, views count how many times your pages (or app screens) were shown. They used to be called pageviews.
Views is the GA4 metric for the number of pages or app screens people looked at. Each page load counts, so viewing the same page twice counts as two views. Older Universal Analytics called this pageviews, and also had unique pageviews, which GA4 does not have. Be aware that Universal Analytics also used the word "view" for a reporting setup under a property. That kind of view no longer exists.
Why it matters for your business: Views show which pages get the most attention. Pair them with key events to see which popular pages actually lead to inquiries.
