What is a lead?

A lead is a person or business that has shown interest in what you sell and shared a way to contact them.

A lead is a possible customer who has reached out or left contact details. Calls, form fills, chat messages, emails and booking requests can all create leads. Not every lead is ready to buy. Many businesses sort leads by quality, for example by whether the person is in your service area and needs a service you offer.

Why it matters for your business: Leads are the raw material of sales. Fast, consistent follow-up on every lead is one of the simplest ways to win more work.
