What is a lettermark?

A lettermark is a logo built from your business initials, often used when the full name is long.

A lettermark, also called a monogram logo, uses only initials. A business with a long name, such as a three-word firm name, might use its first letters in a custom design. The challenge is that initials mean nothing until people connect them to you, so a lettermark is often shown with the full name underneath at first. Lettermarks are compact and work well on small items like embroidery, stamps and app icons.

Why it matters for your business: A lettermark can make a long business name simpler to display, but it takes time and repetition before customers recognize it.
