What is a transactional query?

A transactional query is a search made by someone ready to act, such as buying, booking or calling now.

A transactional query shows that the person is ready to take an action. Examples include "buy running shoes size 10," "book a massage tonight" or "order flowers delivery." Results often include product pages, booking pages, shopping results and ads. These searches tend to be the most valuable because the searcher is close to spending money.

Why it matters for your business: Your service, product and booking pages should be built to win these searches and make the next step clear, such as a call button, a booking form or an add to cart button.
