What is ad rank?

Ad rank is the score Google uses to decide if your ad shows and in which position on the search page.

Ad rank is calculated fresh each time an ad auction runs. Google considers your bid, the quality of your ad and landing page, the search context (such as device and location) and the expected effect of your assets. Ads need to meet a minimum ad rank to show at all. A higher ad rank can put your ad higher on the page, sometimes at a lower cost per click.

Why it matters for your business: Better ads and pages raise your ad rank, which means you do not always have to outbid competitors to beat them.
