What is cost per click (CPC)?
Cost per click is the amount you pay each time someone clicks your ad.
Cost per click, or CPC, is how much you pay for one click on your ad. Most search ads work this way: showing the ad is free, and you pay only when someone clicks. The price is set in an auction, so it changes with competition. Platforms also report average CPC, which is your total cost divided by your total clicks.
Why it matters for your business: CPC tells you what traffic costs in your industry and area, which helps you set a budget and judge whether your ads are priced well.
