What is HTML?

HTML is the code that gives every web page its structure: headings, paragraphs, links, images and forms.

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the basic building language of the web. It marks up the content of a page so the browser knows what each part is: a heading, a paragraph, a list, a link, an image or a form. HTML handles structure and meaning, CSS handles the look, and JavaScript adds behavior. Using the right HTML element for each job is called semantic HTML, and it helps screen readers and search engines understand the page.

Why it matters for your business: Clean, well-structured HTML makes your site easier to use for people with disabilities and easier for search engines to read.
