What is front-end development?

The front end is the part of a website people see and use in the browser. Front-end development builds it with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

The front end is everything a visitor sees and touches on a website or app: layout, text, buttons, menus, forms and animations. Front-end development is the work of building that part, mostly with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so it looks right and works well on every device. It covers speed, accessibility and how the site responds to taps and clicks. The front end talks to the back end to fetch and save data.

Why it matters for your business: A strong front end is what makes your site feel fast, clear and trustworthy to customers.
