What is link equity?

Link equity is the ranking value a link can pass from one page to another. SEOs sometimes call it link juice.

Link equity is the idea that a link passes some of the linking page's strength to the page it points to. How much depends on things like the linking page's own trust, how relevant it is, and whether the link is labeled nofollow or sponsored. Links within your own site also pass equity between your pages. It is a way of describing how links help rankings, not a number Google publishes.

Why it matters for your business: Linking from your strongest pages, like your homepage, to your key service pages helps share that strength where it matters most.
