What is the URL Inspection tool?

The URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console shows whether a single page is indexed, how Google sees it, and lets you ask Google to recrawl it.

The URL Inspection tool lets you check one page at a time in Google Search Console. It tells you whether the page is in Google's index, when Google last crawled it, which version Google picked as canonical, and any problems found. You can run a live test to see how Google renders the page, and request indexing after you update it. It replaced an older tool called Fetch as Google.

Why it matters for your business: When a new or updated page is not showing up, this tool is the fastest way to see why and to ask Google to take another look.
