What is Google Search Console?
Google Search Console is a free Google tool that shows how your site performs in Google Search and alerts you to problems that could keep pages out of results.
Google Search Console is a free service for website owners. It shows which searches bring up your site, how many times your pages appeared and were clicked, and your average position. It also reports indexing problems, mobile and speed issues, security problems and manual actions, and lets you submit a sitemap. It used to be called Google Webmaster Tools. It does not track what people do once they reach your site. That is Google Analytics.
Why it matters for your business: Search Console is the most direct view of how Google sees your website. It is where many SEO problems are first spotted.
