What is thin content?
Thin content is a page with little real value: very short, copied, or written mainly for search engines instead of people.
Thin content describes pages that do not give visitors much. Examples include near-empty pages, dozens of location pages that only swap the town name, copied product descriptions, or pages stuffed with keywords but saying little. Length alone is not the test. A short page that fully answers a question is fine. Google's systems aim to reward helpful, original content written for people.
Why it matters for your business: Thin pages can drag down how search engines see your whole site. Fewer, better pages usually beat many weak ones.
