What is a script font?
A script font imitates handwriting or calligraphy with flowing, connected letters.
Script fonts are modeled on handwriting, from formal calligraphy to casual brush lettering. They feel personal, elegant or playful, which suits wedding, beauty, bakery and boutique brands. Script fonts are harder to read in small sizes, in all capitals or in long sentences. Designers usually save them for a logo, a short heading or a few accent words, paired with a plainer font for everything else.
Why it matters for your business: Use a script font as an accent. Keep important details like hours, prices and phone numbers in a clear, readable font.
