What is a spam folder?
A spam folder, or junk folder, is where your email service puts messages it thinks are unwanted or unsafe.
Every major inbox provider filters incoming mail. Messages that look like spam, scams or unwanted bulk mail are moved to a spam or junk folder instead of your inbox. Filters look at the sender's reputation, authentication results, content and how recipients have reacted to similar mail. Real messages sometimes land there by mistake, so it is worth checking now and then.
Why it matters for your business: If customers say they never got your email, ask them to check spam. If it keeps happening, your domain's email settings may need attention.
