What is a staging site?
A staging site is a private copy of your website used to test changes before they go live to the public.
A staging site is a test copy of your website that the public does not see. Changes, such as new pages, a redesign or software updates, are made and checked there first. When everything works, the changes are moved to the live site, which is often called production. Staging sites are usually kept out of search engines and may sit on a subdomain or a separate preview address.
Why it matters for your business: Testing on staging means mistakes are caught before customers see them, instead of breaking your live site during business hours.
