What is alignment in design?
Alignment is lining up text and images along shared edges or centers so a page looks orderly and scans quickly.
Alignment means placing items so their edges or centers line up with each other. Text might share a left edge, photos might line up along the top, and buttons might sit on the same line. Alignment creates invisible connections that make a layout feel organized. When items are slightly off, the page looks messy even if people cannot say why. Left-aligned text usually reads best in long passages.
Why it matters for your business: Neat alignment makes your website and print pieces look professional and read clearly.
