What is white space?
White space is the empty area around and between things on a page, which helps people read and focus.
White space, also called negative space, is any area of a design without text or images. It does not have to be white; it is any unused space. White space separates sections, groups related items and gives the eye a place to rest. Pages crowded edge to edge feel stressful and cheap, while generous spacing tends to feel calm and premium. It is a design tool, not wasted room.
