What is an ad network?

An ad network is a company that connects advertisers with websites and apps that have space to show ads.

An ad network is a service that collects ad space from many websites and apps, then sells that space to advertisers. You set up your ad once, and the network places it across all the sites in its group. The Google Display Network is one large example. Social platforms such as Meta also run their own networks that extend ads beyond their main apps.

Why it matters for your business: An ad network lets you reach people on thousands of sites without making a deal with each site owner.
