What is an impression in Search Console?
In Google Search Console, an impression is counted each time a link to your site appears in a search result someone sees.
An impression means your page showed up in Google's results for someone. In Search Console, it generally counts when your link is on the results page the person is viewing, even if they do not scroll down to it or click. Impressions show how often you are visible. A rise in impressions without more clicks may mean you appear for more searches but rank too low to get clicked.
Why it matters for your business: Impressions are an early sign of SEO progress. They often grow before clicks and leads do.
