What is cross-browser testing?
Cross-browser testing checks that a website looks and works right in different browsers and on different devices.
Cross-browser testing means opening a website in several browsers, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, and on several devices, such as iPhones, Android phones, tablets and computers, to make sure it works in each one. Browsers read code slightly differently, so a menu, form or layout that works in one can break in another. Testers check the most common combinations your visitors actually use.
Why it matters for your business: Many small-business customers browse on iPhones with Safari. A problem that only shows there can hide from you if you only check on your own computer.
