What is Domain Authority?
Domain Authority is a score from the SEO company Moz that predicts how well a site might rank. It is not a Google metric. Other tools have similar scores.
Domain Authority (DA) is a 1 to 100 score created by Moz, mostly based on the links pointing to a site. Page Authority (PA) is the same idea for one page. Other tools have their own versions, such as Ahrefs' Domain Rating. These scores help compare sites, but Google does not use them. A higher score is not a goal by itself.
Why it matters for your business: Treat these scores as rough comparisons with competitors. Real progress shows up in your search traffic, rankings and leads, not in a third-party number.
