What is email segmentation?

Segmentation divides your email list into smaller groups so each group gets messages that fit them.

Segmentation sorts your contacts into groups based on details you know, such as location, past purchases, interests or how recently they engaged. You then send each group a message that suits them, rather than one email to everyone. For example, past customers might get a maintenance reminder while new leads get an introduction to your services.

Why it matters for your business: More relevant emails get more clicks and fewer unsubscribes and spam complaints, which helps all of your email reach the inbox.
