What is leading (line spacing)?
Leading is the vertical space between lines of text; on websites it is called line height.
Leading, pronounced "ledding," is the distance from one line of text to the next. The name comes from strips of lead that printers once placed between rows of metal type. On websites it is set as line height. Too little leading makes paragraphs feel cramped and hard to follow. Too much makes lines feel disconnected. Body text on the web usually needs more line spacing than headings.
Why it matters for your business: Comfortable line spacing keeps visitors reading your service descriptions instead of skimming past them.
