What is point size?
Point size is the traditional unit for measuring type, where 72 points equal one inch in print.
Point size describes how big text is set. In print, one point is 1/72 of an inch, so 12-point type is a common size for letters and documents. On websites, text is usually measured in pixels or relative units instead. Two fonts at the same point size can look different in size because their letter shapes vary. Small sizes are hard to read, especially for older customers.
Why it matters for your business: Text that is large enough to read comfortably keeps more people engaged, on paper and on screen.
