What is RGB?
RGB is the color system screens use, mixing red, green and blue light to make every color you see on a phone or monitor.
RGB stands for red, green and blue. Screens create color by mixing these three kinds of light at different strengths, usually written as numbers from 0 to 255 for each. All three at full strength make white, and none make black. RGB can show very bright, glowing colors that ink on paper cannot copy. That is why a color that looks vivid on screen can print duller. A hex code is another way of writing the same RGB values.
Why it matters for your business: Use RGB or hex versions of your colors for websites, social posts and email. Send CMYK or Pantone versions to printers.
