What is a color palette?
A color palette is the small set of colors your brand uses everywhere, each with exact codes so it matches across screen and print.
A color palette is the group of colors that belong to your brand. Most palettes have one or two main colors, a few accent colors and some neutrals like white, gray or near-black for text and backgrounds. Each color is written down in several formats: a hex code for websites, RGB for screens, CMYK for print and sometimes a Pantone number for exact matching. Recording these codes is what keeps your blue the same blue everywhere.
Why it matters for your business: A defined palette makes your materials look like they belong together and stops vendors from guessing at your colors.
