What is WWW?
WWW stands for World Wide Web. In a web address, www is a subdomain that most sites redirect to or from the bare domain.
WWW stands for World Wide Web, the system of linked pages you open in a browser. In an address like www.yourbusiness.com, the www part is technically a subdomain. Years ago it marked which server handled web pages. Today it is a habit. Most sites pick one main version, with or without www, and send the other version to it automatically with a redirect.
Why it matters for your business: If the www version is not set up, visitors who type it may get an error. Both versions should work and land on the same address.
