What are SERP features?
SERP features are the extra boxes on a search results page, such as maps, AI Overviews, image rows and question boxes, beyond the regular website links.
SERP features are anything on a search results page that is not a plain blue website link. Common ones include the map pack of local businesses, AI Overviews, featured snippets, "People also ask" boxes, image and video rows, review stars, and the knowledge panel about a business or topic. Search engines choose which features to show for each search. Some features pull information from your website, and some come from your Google Business Profile.
Why it matters for your business: These boxes take up a lot of space and attention. Showing up in one, like the map pack or a featured snippet, can bring you more visits than a plain link lower on the page.
