What are AI Overviews?
AI Overviews are AI-written summaries Google shows at the top of some search results, with links to the web pages they draw from.
AI Overviews are short answers that Google's AI writes for some searches, shown above or among the regular results. Each overview links to web pages it used as sources. Google also offers AI Mode, a chat-style way to search. Google says there are no special requirements to appear in these features: a page must be indexed and eligible to show a snippet, and normal SEO best practices apply. Clicks from them are counted in Search Console with regular web results.
Why it matters for your business: AI answers can answer a question without a click, but being cited as a source puts your business in front of searchers. Clear, accurate, helpful pages give you the best chance.
